Important information about Keepers devices, how they may be used, how suitability is reviewed, and what Keepers does and does not provide.
What Keepers Provides
Keepers Club provides custom-made clear devices based on a 3D scan of your teeth. They can be used as retainers after orthodontic treatment to help maintain the result, or as night guards to help protect teeth from grinding-related wear. They are passive, protective devices and are not designed or made to move teeth, diagnose a condition, or provide active dental or orthodontic treatment.
Before production, each 3D scan is reviewed by a qualified specialist, who confirms whether it is suitable for production. This review is not a diagnosis, treatment plan, comprehensive dental examination, or substitute for an in-person examination by a dentist or orthodontist.
General Information and Recommendations
Information provided by Keepers is general and should not be considered medical advice. If you have pain, untreated tooth decay, gum disease, an infection, loose or damaged teeth, or problems involving fillings, crowns, implants, braces, dentures, or other dental appliances, you should consult a dentist before ordering or using a Keepers device.
Keepers may pause or decline production if the information provided or the suitability screening of the 3D scan indicates that an in-person dental examination may be needed.
Keepers primarily accepts orders for adults. An order for a person under the age of 18 may be considered on a case-by-case basis and only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. Acceptance of such an order is not automatic and may depend on the person’s circumstances and the suitability of the 3D scan.
How the Devices May Be Used
Throughout this notice, “Keepers device” is the general name for the custom-made passive device supplied by Keepers. Depending on its intended use, it may also be described as a retainer, a retainer device, or a night guard. A Keepers device may serve one or both of these protective functions.
Depending on their intended use, Keepers devices may be worn after orthodontic treatment to help maintain the current position of the teeth, or at night to help protect the teeth from grinding-related wear. In some cases, a device may serve both purposes.
Keepers devices do not treat the cause of teeth grinding and cannot guarantee that teeth will never move or experience wear. If you have severe grinding, pain, jaw symptoms, significant tooth wear, or another dental concern, you should consult a dentist.
How Keepers Works
Keepers does not manufacture the devices. Each device is made from the customer’s 3D scan by a qualified third-party laboratory working with Keepers. Before production, each 3D scan is reviewed by a qualified specialist, who confirms whether it is suitable for production.
Natural Changes in Teeth and Fit
Teeth and the surrounding tissues can change naturally over time. Because each Keepers device is made to match the anatomy shown in the 3D scan used for the order, later changes may affect how the device fits.
A Keepers device can help maintain the current position of the teeth while it fits and is used as intended, but it cannot guarantee that the teeth will never move or that the fit will remain unchanged permanently.
If the device no longer fits correctly, it should not be forced into place. Please contact Keepers for fit support. A new 3D scan and a newly made device may be required.
Dental Health Responsibility
Keepers does not examine, diagnose, or treat dental conditions. Existing problems such as tooth decay, gum disease, infections, loose or damaged teeth, or damaged fillings, crowns, or implants should be assessed and treated by a dentist before using a Keepers device.
A Keepers device does not replace regular dental care. Customers remain responsible for their dental health and should consult a dentist if they experience pain, discomfort, or another dental concern before or during use. Keepers can assist with questions concerning the device, its fit, and the order.
Data and Privacy
Keepers processes personal data, including contact details, 3D scans, order information, and relevant customer communications, as described in the Keepers Privacy Policy and in accordance with applicable data protection law.
The Privacy Policy explains why the data is processed, the applicable legal basis, how long it may be retained, when it may be shared, and the customer’s data-protection rights. Where consent is specifically required, it will be requested separately.
